Jcorp: Sorry Syed Ali, we had no intention to sell KFC's stake to anyone else


KUALA LUMPUR: There may again be another tussle for control of the KFC fast food business in Malaysia. This time, the Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (MCCM) is challenging a joint bid by Johor Corp (JCorp) and CVC Capital Partners Asia Pacific to acquire the assets and liabilities of QSR Brands Bhd and KFC Holdings (M) Bhd.

JCorp beli semula ekuiti KFC bernilai RM5.2 bilion


Restoran-restoran makanan segera KFC cukup popular dalam kalangan rakyat Malaysia dan menjana perolehan lebih RM2 bilion setahun.

KUALA LUMPUR - Johor Corporation (JCorp) dan CVC Capital Partners (CVC) menerusi entiti yang diwujudkan untuk tujuan khas, Massive Equity Sdn. Bhd. (ME), telah menyerahkan surat tawaran kepada Badan Pengarah KFC Holdings (M) Bhd. (KFCH) dan QSR Brands Bhd. (QSR) untuk mengambil alih 100 peratus perniagaan dan aktiviti perusahaan kedua-dua syarikat tersebut, termasuk semua aset dan liabiliti.

China labur RM2.5 bilion projek Iskandar Malaysia


ISKANDAR Investment Bhd, pemangkin pemaju projek Iskandar Malaysia, memperoleh pelaburan hartanah bernilai RM2.5 bilion daripada syarikat China, Qingdao Zhouyuan Investment Holdings (Qingdao Zhouyuan) iaitu anak syarikat pemaju hartanah berpangkalan di Hebei, Zhouda Real Estate Group.

JCorp to raise RM2.5bil (PHOTO)


Johor Corp (JCorp) plans to issue up to RM2.5bil in bonds in a move to refinance its debt that will be due by the middle of next year, reliable banking sources said.
“The bond issuance will refinance the bulk of debt that is coming due next year, meaning that JCorp may not need to carry out any big asset sale soon although there is still a small shortfall,” one banker said.
