Dr Wan Azizah was responding to a public plea made by Azmin’s mother Che Tom Yahya on Saturday, who wanted her son to “repent and return home” after keeping his distance from the family.
Che Tom had expressed her disappointment with Azmin for not visiting her for months, even when she was ill and hospitalized.
The mother of six claimed that the last time she had met her son was during during the Hari Raya celebrations last year.
She said her only wish for Mother's Day is for her son to repent and return to the family.
“He is still my son. If he comes to his senses and returns to the family, I will accept him,” Che Tom said at a press conference at her home on Saturday.
