Victory for Taman Kinrara FC, thanks to substitute’s goal

TAMAN Kinrara FC Puchong emerged champions in the NS Mentri Besar Veteran’s Football tournament when they edged V3 Enterprise from Bahau 1-0 in the final at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi recently.


The Puchong club side picked up the RM6,000 prize money thanks to substitute A. Harry’s heroics when he scored the winner in the 79th minute of the closely contested match.

In the semi-finals Kinrara FC thrashed hosts Port Dickson FC 5-0.

V3 Enterprise was reduced to 10 men when K. Chandran was sent off in the 62nd minute.

As the runners-up, V3 Enterprise received RM4,000.

A total of 16 teams competed in the league competition organised by PDFC. The guest of honour was TNB Port Dickson CEO Zainuddin Ibrahim.
