New shows and a live telecast on TV3 & 8tv

Dream High is premiering tomorrow on 8TV at 6.30pm

THERE are several new shows on TV3 and 8TV this weekend. Reality series Vokal, which debuts over TV3 on Sunday at 9pm, is an opportunity for those blessed with a beautiful voice and singing talent but who lack the complete package as a commercial artiste.

Featuring host Faizal Ismail and two permanent jury members, Azmeer and Erra Fazira, Vokal offers a RM50,000 cash prize to the winner and RM30,000 to the 1st runner-up.


8TV is airing a new Korean drama tomorrow at 6.30pm. Titled Dream High, it stars Ok Taecyeon, Kim Soo Hyun, Jang Wooyoung, Ham Eun Jung, Lee Ji Eun and Bae Su Ji. It is about six students at Kirin Art High School who aspire to become music stars.


The station will also air a new show, Cuti-Cuti 1Malaysia, on Sunday at 7.30pm.

Hosts Henley Hii and Natalie Ng embark on adventures and spontaneous travels, visiting places of historical interest as well as enjoying homestays and other activities.


Don’t miss the live telecast of the finale of TV1’s Bintang Nostalgia Klasik Nasional tomorrow at 8.30pm. Produced by Radio Klasik Nasional, this competition looks for talented singers aged 35 and above. The semi-finals air tomorrow at 3.05pm.


The third season of She’s Got The Look takes off tomorrow at 10pm on ntv7. New host Brook Burke leads the search for the next face in the fashion industry — a woman over 35 who exudes the sophistication and star power to make it as the next great supermodel.Tomorrow on 8TV, catch the Linkin Park TV Special and The Making Of... 2AM Show at 10am and 1.30pm respectively. On Sunday, Jackie Evancho TV Special airs on ntv7 at 2.30pm while The Making Of... The Three Musketeers airs at 10am on 8TV.

King Of Thorn (TV3, 11.30am)
A mysterious virus, nicknamed Medusa, is spreading through Japan, turning its victims into stone. With no cure in sight, the government opts to cryopreserve a select group of patients until they come up with a solution. Starring Sendai Eri, Kana Hanazawa, Toshiyuki Morikawa, Sayaka Ohara, Akiko Yajima.

Successful businessman Arman abandons his responsibilities as a Muslim. Shortly after moving into his new house, he encounters a mysterious man who recites the Quran. Starring Eman Manan, Vanidah Imran, Wan Elyas and Nellydia Senrose.
