Elton John rocks Genting Highland, Sultanah of Pahang attended

Sir Elton John playing the piano while performing one of his songs in a three-hour concert at Resorts World Genting yesterday.

ROCK singer, songwriter, composer and pianist Sir Elton John thrilled his legions of fans here last night.

In a mesmerising three-hour concert held at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting, the flamboyant singer belted out some of his best known numbers which made him a household name in a career spanning four decades.   The singer performed 25 songs, including all-time favourites like I’m Still Standing, Candle in the Wind, Rocketman,

Sacrifice, Circle of Life, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Levon and Crocodile Rock.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee also belted a few songs from his latest record “The Union”. Fans of the singer  from all ages sang along with him. The 5,000-strong audience were left in disbelief at the performance of the 64-year-old.

Among those present were Sultanah of Pahang Sultanah Kalsom Abdullah.

The concert was part of his “Greatest Hits Tour”, which will see him perform in Singapore,  Australia and New Zealand.    

The  concert was opened by 2Cellos, a duo consisting of Croatian cellists Luka Ĺ uli and Stjepan Hauser. They were discovered after uploading a video of themselves on YouTube.
