Muhamad Ridhwan Tew Abdullah, 24, thanked the Johor Islamic Council (JIC) for making it possible for him to wed Nur Ain Nganriffin, 21, whom he courted in December last year.
He said the wedding was meaningful to him as it was one based on true love and which had the blessings of his Buddhist parents.
Ridhwan embraced Islam six years ago.
He hoped his wife would help him deepen his knowledge of the faith.
JIC, which organised the mass wedding, helps low-income couples to wed with little hassle.
The wedding was attend by more than 1,000 guests, including JIC's director Elias Hassan.
Bridegroom Muhamad Ronney Irfan Abdullah, 36, said: "I'm happy that my family, who are Christians, have given their blessings," he said.
He embraced Islam in 2006.
