KUALA LUMPUR, THURSDAY- FORMER DEPUTY PAS YOUTH LEADER,AND FORMER MEMBERS OF PARLIMENT PAS FOR KUALA KRAI, ZAHARI AWANG, 63, now it's a high time for PAS to reconsider to have a futher muzakarah (discussion) with UMNO if their leaders want to see muslim in the nation being united.
He said, in 1973, when the late father of Prime Minister, Tun Abdul Razak approcahed PAS President, Datuk Asri Muda to be component of BN for the sake of Malay unity, PAS central commitee had an emegency meeting.
Zahari said, after the meeting, the decision was made and PAS agreed to be part of B-N component on the sake of malay political survival.
"B-N offered a few Minister seats and Secretary parliment seats for Pas a reward and at that time there was no split in Malays," he said.
He said, there no issues such as UMNO memberes were "kafir".
Zahari said, all malays through out the nation live in peace, PAS and UMNO members were "like brothers and sisters".
He said, Malay political strenght is bouncing back and most of MCA and MIC leaders support the coalation of PAS in B-N.
Zahari said, this is because they understand nation political stabilty is very essential for developing countries such as Malaysia.
Impact of the coalation, the economic activities tremendously spin off.
"Many foreign investors come in to invest in huge volume," he said.
He said, the main reason why investors come in to Malaysia because they are confident with B-N goverment and political stability is in high index.
Zahari said, if Nik Aziz coninues to be stubborn not to willing to have muzakarah with UMNO, the political impact for the malay in the next 50 years "malay political dominance power would be diminished" gradually.
"I think it's a high time for Nik aziz to change his stance upon the matters," he said.
He said, Nik aziz intention to support every decision made by DAP leaders in anyway tarnished his image as Pas Ulama.
It's is said, not all 1 million pas members support Nik aziz stance not to hold muzakarah with UMNO.
