Clever Bulletin: OE Fine Jewellery has pledged compassion to the Women’s Centre

YOUR next purchase at OE Fine Jewellery will help support a good cause. OE Fine Jewellery has pledged a part of its sales proceeds to the Women’s Centre For Change, Penang (WCC).

Among the services provided by the WCC are counselling and temporary shelter for abused women and children, legal advice, and assistance in seeking medical, welfare and police help. It also helps with issues such as domestic violence, marital problems, relationship problems, rape and sexual harassment.

To raise funds for WWC, OE is holding a Celebrating Colours event at its showrooms from now till the end of August. It showcases a collection of loose gemstones from its treasure chest.

Customers may find out more about coloured gemstones stones, what each means and the associated symbolism. Employees will be on hand to help design the jewellery once the customer has purchased a gemstone.

OE Fine Jewellery general manager Ong Li Dong says: “Most of our customers are successful women with families, so issues such as domestic violence, child abuse and sexual harassment are close to our hearts. When the opportunity arose for us to work with the WCC and its fundraising ambassador, Datin Anie Chin, we jumped at the chance.”
