Azizan to stay on as Kedah MB

KUALA LUMPUR: Pas this morning formally announced that Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak will continue as Kedah Menteri Besar.

It has also decided to compel the two rebel Kedah executive councillors Datuk Dr Phahrolrazi Zawawi and Datuk Dr Ismail Salleh to accept their exco posts.

Pas deputy president Mohamed Sabu said the decision was taken at the party's central working committee meeting in Kedah on Saturday.

He admitted, however, that even though Phahrolrazi and Ismail had been informed of the decision, they had yet to state whether they would accept their posts.

Mohamed said another decision made was to revive the party's steering committee to monitor and advise Pas-led states and other states where Pas was part of the administration.
