Breakfast at 7 at Danga Bay offers patrons a variety of breakfast and brunch choices

IF you are looking for breakfast or brunch, check out Breakfast at 7 at Danga Bay, in Jalan Skudai, Johor Baru.

The restaurant is operated by the   management of 7 Spice Indian Cuisine but offers a different dining concept and menu.  It is located above the 7 Spice Restaurant.

The restaurant, which opened six months ago,  offers meals at prices which start from RM2. Its menu features local favourites such as fried kuay teow, sambal bee hoon, nasi lemak, appam, dosai, mini idli, paratha, Chinese fried rice and mamak mee.

For RM10, patrons can enjoy a plate of steamed rice with fried egg on top and a choice of chicken or lamb. The meal  comes with a glass of lime juice.

Patrons are free to choose from a variety of sauces to top the chicken or lamb before serving.

There are also set meals which come with seafood, priced at RM13.

Manager P. Murugan said the garlic cheese sauce and black pepper sauce were the  favourites. The appam, a traditional breakfast dish of Kerala, served with coconut milk, is also popular.

The Breakfast at 7 dosai, priced at RM5, is  served with condiments such as mint, coconut chutney and tomato chutney. Diners have  a choice of chicken or lamb filling.

"This dish (Breakfast at 7 dosai) is unique because it is our own creation, and so is our Breakfast at 7 lassi, a traditional yogurt-based drink which is blended with spices and fruits," he said.

Murugan said the restaurant, which can seat 120 patrons, has five chefs. Two of them are trained in Chinese cuisine.

The outlet is open daily, from 8am to 10pm.
