Ahmad Maslan: Umno still open to talks with PAS on Muslim unity

SHAH ALAM: Umno Information Chief Datuk Ahmad Maslan has said that Umno was still open to having talks with PAS to unite the Muslims and Malays in the country, especially with the advent of the Ramadan fasting month next week.


"Although the offer was turned down before, Umno has not closed the door to talks with PAS, more so now with the advent of Ramadan," he told reporters last night.

Ahmad, who is a deputy minister in the Prime Minister's Department, had earlier closed a forum organised by the Kota Raja Umno Division, here.
