Sofia Coppola confirms she plans to marry boyfriend Thomas Mars

Sofia Coppola's publicist has confirmed the Hollywood movie director plans to marry rocker Thomas Mars this summer, People.com reported Tuesday.

Coppola is the daughter of filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. Her film credits include "Somewhere," "Lost in Translation," "Marie Antoinette" and "The Virgin Suicides."

She married director Spike Jonze in 1999 and they divorced in 2003.

Mars is the lead singer of the band Phoenix.

The couple are the parents of 4-year-old Romy and 1-year-old Cosima.

Their wedding ceremony is expected to take place in August at her family's villa in Italy.

"Yes, they are getting married and having an intimate family wedding," her representative told People.com.

They'll wed at Palazzo Margherita, her father Francis Ford Coppola's 19th-century villa in Bernalda, in southern Italy, her rep tells Us Weekly and People.

The Coppola family has roots in the region, and Sofia's dad, 72, is currently rebuilding and renovating the property.

Coppola, 40, and Mars, 34, of the band Phoenix, are parents to daughters Romy, 4, and Cosima, 23 months.

It'll be the second walk down the aisle for Coppola, who divorced fellow director Spike Jonze in 2003.
